Meadow
Management
Services
Whilst meadows do not demand as much care as a traditional lawn, the task of cutting them can be more extensive and should be carried out annually as a minimum. Our team can carefully time your maintenance cuts to help promote the growth of specific species throughout the year. This approach will promote a diverse range of vegetation and structure.
We will only use environmentally safe products that are sourced with sustainability in mind. This approach means that we will help to maintain all your environmental and sustainability credentials.
We have all the heavy machinery and equipment required to cut, collect and bail to help maintain a healthy meadow of any size. The team work closely with all stakeholders to create a mowing schedule to maintain the flower diversity of meadow.
Our experience means we understand how important it is to avoid consistently cutting early, as this may prevent plants from setting seed. Conversely, if the meadow is always cut late, it may become overgrown and lose its diversity.
Important factors to consider for a healthy meadow:
- Remove the cuttings after each mow
- Leave an uncut area at the edge of the meadow for wildlife
- Rotate the uncut area on a 3 or 4 year cycle
